Are you in need of a well-rounded class that will stretch & strengthen your whole body, but also provide you with time to connect to breath & lighten your mind? Do you like vinyasa style classes but often feel they move too quickly for you to incorporate a meditative mind? Need something more physically demanding than Gentle/Restorative Yoga, but still nowhere near the intensity of Power Yoga? Then, Slow Flow is for you! This yoga class combines poses with static holds accompanied by slower, more mindful movements. There will be traditional & non-traditional yoga poses to encourage multiplanar movement, in order to build postural awareness that you can bring with you off the mat. Expect breath & individual alignment to be the emphasis, over the achievement of a specific outcome.

Tiffany has always been drawn to the expression of spirit through movement. At a young age it was through dance, which she was blessed to make into a brief career in her early twenties. She willingly left the dance world behind in search of a new (yet similar) way to connect to her body. She discovered yoga via VHS tapes featuring some internationally known teachers like Shiva Rea & Rodney Yee and began practicing at home a few times a week. Then, during an 8-month job hiatus due to a layoff, Tiffany stumbled upon yoga classes at her local gym. She disciplined herself to go three times a week, and this serendipitously changed the course of her life. There was an emotional ease on the mat that she never felt before and years of suffering from anxiety, eating disorders and panic attacks felt like they just dissipated.
It wasn't until many years later that she opened herself up to what yoga had to offer besides just the physical experience on the mat. She left her career in the travel industry to study with local teachers, David Vendetti & Todd Skoglund and completed her first 200hr RYT Yoga Alliance certification with them in 2009. As an avid learner, she enrolled a couple years later in another 200hr RYT with Kelly Morris, the founder of the (now defunct) Conquering Lion Yoga in NYC. Most recently, she's been studying with former Yogaworks Lead Teacher & Trainer Alexandria Crow, the creator of the Yoga Physics method. Tiffany has been teaching in the health & wellness field since 2003, and to compliment her yoga studies, she is also an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor and currently studying to become an ACE certified Health Coach.
Tiffany's intention in class is to provide a space where you can bring strength & ease of mind & body into stasis, and come to realize that yoga is much more than just physical movement on a mat. She's eternally grateful to all her teachers and students who consistently inspire her teachings, and who remind her every day that she is and always will be, both. Her classes are slower vinyasa style often set to music, embrace non-judgment and are typically infused with some humor. She will always emphasize breath and alignment, but within a playful environment of instinctual expression.
