MILAY LEMOS, LMHC, NCC
I provide psychotherapy to adults through private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My practice is dedicated to helping clients deepen their capacity for self awareness and personal agency. As part of our work together I help clients explore and develop insight into unconscious processes, repetitive patterns of behavior, and relational difficulties to understand what gets in the way of living meaningfully and authentically while reaching desired goals.
Drawing from psychoanalytic, relational, and mindfulness approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to facilitate a safe therapeutic space conducive to increased intimacy, curiosity, and creativity, while building on strengths derived from their unique life experiences.
My clinical areas of focus include intimacy and sexuality, gender identity, relationship orientation, interpersonal trauma, and spirituality. My clinical experience has been deeply informed by extensive work with individuals holding transgender, queer, lesbian, gay, and bisexual identities, immigrants, people of color, and persons with disabilities.
Holding to a lifelong personal belief in the intrinsic value of all experience, I invite clients to explore in an open, empathic, and non-judgmental environment their capacity for self-knowledge, transformation, and healing.
